Go Vegan. Thank you!

I'm Erin, but everyone calls me Red and that's just fine with me.

I'm a certified VLCE and Vegan Nutrition Specialist, public speaker, writer, consultant, kitchen wrangler, problem solver, rabble-rouser, jet-setter, and host of the popular vegan podcast Red Radio. I also co-founded The Seed in 2012, and continue to organize events across North America.

By night I'm a muay Thai practitioner, runner, Bikram Yogini, and tattoo enthusiast. Brooklyn is home, but I hail from Toronto, Canada, and I'm currently on the road.

Try to keep up.

EP45: The Barbi Twins Get Active!

OK, so 3 weeks or so ago, I sent out a tweet to The Barbi Twins.  I was all, “Hey ladies, would love to have you on my podcast!”  Lo and behold, not 24 hours later, a direct message showed up on my account from the Twins… and the rest, as they say, is history!

I was so thrilled to have the chance to speak to Shane and Sia in Red Radio Episode Forty Five - of course they’re hilarious, spontaneous, and definitely out there… but their passion for helping animals and speaking out for the vegan lifestyle comes through crystal clear.  I have a lot of respect for celebrities who use their ‘powers’ for good, and that’s just what the girls are up to.  More power to ‘em!

You think you know, but you have no idea:  Erin Red welcomes animal activists extraordinaire Shane & Sia Barbi (better known as The Barbi Twins) to talk veganism, animal rights, grassroots activism and so much more in Red Radio Episode Forty Five!  Giggle along with the ladies while they use their 7 & 1/2 minutes (each) of fame to speak up on behalf of the animals.  Plus, Erin Red Raves about her favorite vegan lip balm, and a Compassionate Clip featuring Steve-O!  ROCK ON!  Please consider supporting Red Radio by visiting erinred.com and clicking the DONATE button, and subscribe to Red Radio on iTunes today!  If you love what you hear, leave a glowing review, or drop Erin Red a line at erinredradio@gmail.com.  You can also read her blog at erinred.tumblr.com, and find her on Facebook and Twitter @erinred.

EP43: A Raw Conversation with Sarma!

What do ODB and Sarma have in common?  A TON of things, evidently… but mostly, they’re both bona fide HUSTLERS.  For real.  Some of the (many) things I admire about this fine lady are her commitment, her hard work, and her determination - and if you’ve listened to Red Radio Episode Forty Three I don’t think I have to tell you why.

…but if I do, it’s because I fancy myself somewhat of a hustler, too.  So dear Sarma is a woman after my very own heart.  And to top it all off, she saved my canine boyfriend Leon Quinn Trujillo Sterling Brit's precious life, and advocates for others to do the same.  Check out the handsome fella below.  Sorry, bitches - he's taken!

Cozy up with your favorite organic green juice and join Erin Red for a conversation with raw food ambassador Sarma in Red Radio Episode Forty Three!  The ladies get fresh, discussing the birth and growth of NYC’s premiere raw dining experience, Pure Food & Wine, Sarma’s evolution towards veganism, and Erin Red’s love affair with Sarma’s rescued puppy, Leon.  It’s an uncooked love fest!  Plus, Erin Red addresses the impending “Baconopalypse” and more in The Vegan Scoop.  Delicious!

EP28: An EPIC Chat with Vegan Superman Rich Roll!

Yeah, totally NBD.  Just that I spoke to ultra-endurance athlete Rich Roll for Episode Twenty Eight of Red Radio IS ALL.

WHAT?!

Yeah, kids - you read right!  Rich was kind enough to take some time out to chat with me about his journey to veganism, his struggle with alcoholism, finding his path to wellness, and his plant-based athletic adventures.  I really can’t wait to read his recently released book, Finding Ultra - the reviews are already outstanding and the subject matter, let’s face it, is RIGHT up my alley.  I’ll have to pick up a copy and have Rich sign it when I see him in TWO WEEKS at The Seed: A Vegan Experience, where he’ll be speaking about Plant Power Performance on Saturday, June 16th at 10:15am.  How exciting is THAT!?

Aside from that I introduce my latest furry family member, as well as wax poetic about my hero, Colleen Patrick-Goudreau, and her game-changing podcast, Vegetarian Food For Thought.  I’m a total fangirl; deal with it.

Erin Red rocks out with ultra-endurance athlete, entertainment lawyer, husband, father and one of the “25 Fittest Guys in the World” Rich Roll in Red Radio Episode Twenty Eight!  Rich discusses his path to veganism and the transformation that followed, the release of his book, Finding Ultra, and his truly remarkable athletic achievements.  Plus, we’re introduced to the newest member of Erin Red’s furry little family and hear about what’s been motivating her advocacy lately.  A chock-full episode for your listening pleasure!

EP26: Meet The Dirty Birds! (or, Dad: Don’t Download This EP)

No, seriously Dad.  Don’t do it.  I mean, it’s for your sake more than anyone else’s.  I’m saying…..honestly, if you really wanted to listen, you could.  It’s nothing too bad, yet.  But yanno.  I say ‘boners’ a lot and I pretty much let the cat out of the bag that I’m not a virgin, so I don’t want to make things awkward is all.

The proverbial cat is proverbially out of the proverbial bag, y’all - super foxy vegan rockstar celebrity ass-kicker Melisser Elliott and I are launching a brand-spankin’ new sex-positive vegan podcast, tentatively named The Dirty Birds.  It’s totally happening!  Listen to us yak for an hour on Red Radio Episode Twenty-Six about what motivated us to produce our upcoming monthly show, and why our partners are kinda freaked out.

We really don’t blame them.

Click the logo below to turn it on!

I also get all worked up about animal breeders and why it’s so important to adopt/rescue. Such a jam-packed episode!  WOOT!

Catch up in a couple of days with the show notes!
